Our server Katie was amazing, she was very friendly and helpful. She also showed genuine concern for us as we just got back from Sandals Jamaica and experienced Hurricane Beryl. We had the fish and chips and they were great. Best of luck to Katie and her two kids, great job, we enjoyed our first visit at Chroma and were glad we were able to get a late dinner after a long day of traveling.
Please go to Chroma! The ambiance, the food, the service all was amazing. I reserved it for my spouses birthday and he said it was great. He enjoyed the food and so did I. Our waitress was great (I forgot her name ) but she made sure everything was good for us. Let's not forget the DJ!! She was amazing also, she set the vibe and kept the vibe going!! I was skeptical because these TikTok bloggers and reviewers be lying but this one here did not disappoint. We'll definitely be back especially for dinner so we can try the bread pudding. My ratings will be below. Passion Fruit Fizz (added Vodka) : 9/10 Sparkling Rosé Sangria: 8/10 Molten Strawberry French Toast (added scrambled eggs) : 9/10 Fish & Chips: 8/10 Giant Cinnamon Roll: 3/10 we were not a fan unfortunately.
I have been a fan of Chroma for its inviting small plate options, making it a fantastic place to share and sample a variety of dishes. I find myself returning at least once a year, as the experience is generally quite enjoyable. However, during my last two visits, I noticed that some of my favorite dishes had been removed from the menu, which was a bit disappointing. I love salmon, but the salmon crudo didn't quite meet my expectations. On the other hand, the whipped ricotta crostini was absolutely delicious and something I would definitely order again. We also shared the ribeye, which ended up being more than enough for the two of us, with leftovers to take home. Although we asked for the ribeye to be cooked medium-rare, it seemed a bit too rare in some parts. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait a bit upon arrival. The host was very kind and apologized for the wait, which was appreciated. I do hope Chroma adds new items to their menu soon, as I would be eager to return and try them. Until then, I may hold off on visiting again for a while.
We went for Brunch on Mothers days. We had no reservation but came right when it opened and they were able to sit my party. It was me, my mom and grandma and we had a great time. The food was great and we ordered sides and mains to all share and it was very filling and tasty. Definitely a great place to come with friends or family. Our waitress was very nice and I was pleased with everything, we had no complaints !
Great food ! We ordered the crab artichoke dip and it was what solidified my thoughts toward the menu. We order it twice, as well as the Brussels. The strawberry molten was a hit with the table. I was not a fan of it. I throughly enjoyed the cinnamon roll. Even the fish and chips were good and I wasn't expecting that. Gloria affectionately named "Glo" was great. She served with such attention and was very accommodating. The spot is such a vibe we enjoyed ourselves and danced to great music. The DJ was a blast and definitely eclectic!
I have visited Chroma twice, once for a friend's birthday dinner, and a second time this past Saturday for brunch after my wife and the same friend ran a 5K! Both were excellent experiences and I would come back for either in a heartbeat. This review will mainly focus on the brunch experience since it's the freshest in my mind, but both times we got the Whipped Ricotta Crostini and the Brussel Sprouts. The ricotta WILL fall off the crostini and you WILL scoop it back up to enjoy every bite. The brussel sprouts may be the best I've had in central Florida, and that's saying something because I never pass up brussies when I see them on a menu. Over the course of brunch, I had two cocktails: the Espresso Martini (after all, I did have to get up at 6am to spectate at the 5K) and the Sparkling Rosé Sangria. The espresso martini was one of the best I've had, a good balance of sweetness and coffee flavor. The sangria, which is made with gin, was a perfectly refreshing brunch drink. For my entree, I had the Buttermilk Waffles, which are served with dulce de leche and caramelized apple. After the crostini and the brussies, I was already feeling pretty satisfied, and the waffles were like a decadent dessert. I usually can't eat even half of a restaurant portion of waffles, but I did almost finish my plate in this case... Our server was very attentive, enthusiastic, and knowledgable about the menu and all of its items, and she was also understanding and kind when the amount of things crammed onto the table resulted in something getting knocked over. I don't live very close to Lake Nona, but will gladly make the commute to visit Chroma!
Today, I had the best chicken and waffles of my life. I was EXTREMELY surprised with how crispy and FLAVORFUL the chicken was... wow! It wasn't just fried chicken, it was perfectly fried chicken. I didn't get anything else other than the Chicken & Waffles, so I can't speak to the REST of the menu... but know that these are FIRE. We went at brunch time and the music was FIRE! It felt like a day party (they even had a DJ). I will definitely be back here with more friends in the future for brunch!
This my 2nd time dining at Chroma and it is definitely one of the better spots for a memorable dining experience in the Lake Nona area. I have only dined for dinner, but I've heard they have a great brunch as well. Just like the name of the restaurant suggests, it is modern inside and the interior decorating style is upscale and aesthetically pleasing. My boyfriend, brother, his wife & I went on a Thursday evening and although I made reservations on Opentable, it turned out to be unnecessary since it happened to be dead (but collect those points anyway if you're on opentable!) We were immediately sat at a corner booth and were greeted promptly by our server who was very friendly (wish I recalled her name) to take our drink orders. My boyfriend & I ordered aperol spritz's which were very refreshing and they had just the right amount of aperol (some restaurants don't pour enough, but that wasn't the case here happily). To start, we ordered the tuna tartar and while it wasn't the best one I've ever had, it was decent (tuna was fresh, but I prefer chunks of avocado instead of it being spread - It was also lacking in seasoning). For entrees, I chose the shrimp orzo which I thought was delicious and had great flavor, but somewhat on the heavy side so keep that in mind if deciding to order this. My boyfriend enjoyed his pork belly pad Thai but mentioned it was a little too salty . I fail to recall what my brother & his wife ordered unfortunately, but they were both pleased with their meals. Pleasant atmosphere, good bites, well made drinks, decently priced, friendly service & great location. If you're in Lake Nona, it's hard to go wrong with Chroma.
